Trial & error
Fashion illustrations are so fun to draw. Partly because I am obsessed with fashion & partly, I get to pretend I'm a designer. Plus, plus! I am slowly getting the hang of faces. It's really cool to see how the eyes, nose & lips come together in the end (after many tries that is).

Vanity
What is it about a woman and the amount of time she spends in front of the mirror? The mirror can serve as your best friend & enemy. We definitely spend too much time focusing on the outside rather than the inside.

Princess & fairies
Oh I like her cute little tummy. Our princess came out so sweet! The most challenging task is drawing of the hands and fingers. My least favorite. My teacher is truly a great teacher, he's challenging me to consider children's illustration.

Figure drawing 101

The most awkward thing I've ever experienced. We were only allowed to spend 1, 5 or 10 minutes on each pose. We won't concentrate on too much details until later, which is great because I sure am not ready! I guess this is part of the learning process. I still don't think it's necessary to be fully naked. Oh my lanta! O_O

Back to school!
Back to school! So fun but intense! We all took turns modeling for our drawings. Made two friends tonight and one took the train back home with me because she just so happens to live in my city. Yay thank you God! Class starts at 6pm and ends at 9:50pm, he knows that I would need a friend for the ride. Good is God!

happy hour?
This scene looks depressing but I had so much fun drawing all the details and imagining all of the character's feelings. I heard once that most suicides are committed during happy hour. I hope that's not true! Next session will be an uplifting one. Subject: children. yay!

Set sail
Tonight's session: Sailboat and a stylish warrior gal. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't take credit for the fashion, haha! Mr. Jack styled her tonight, as you can see he is not very in touch with fashion. From now on, he's letting me choose the clothing and design. I think that's a smart move ;).

Begin
Omg! I'm getting private art lessons from the legendary Jack Katz! If you don't know him, google him. He is one of the last true artists of his time. So far, it's been 4 sessions and I'm learning so much already. I feel so priviledged to have met him by accident! He's 84, yet still full of passion, energy and has such a heart for teaching the hungry. After years & years of ignoring my passions, I am finally pursuing them. As soon as I made the decision to go after it, the doors of opportunity began to open. I guess this is how life works eh? Thank you God!!
These sketches are so rough (exibit a: superman's arm lol), definitely have a lot of room for improvement and growth! I'm hoping a year from now as I go through my archives I will cringe at these because I've improved that much. Cross fingers and toes! Let the journey begin...
My fave one is of the woman's back which was from tonight's session.
